Because Learning to fly is fun! When you decide to take flying lessons, it will change your life forever. Flying lessons will expose you to experiences that will stimulate the mind, broaden your horizons and change your perspective You will join an elite company of men and women who can say proudly they are pilots. How do I become a pilot? Types of certificates There are two primary certificates that you can earn in order to enjoy the privileges, challenges, and beauty of flying. They are the Light Sport Pilot Certificate and the Private Pilot Certificate. To be eligible to receive either certificate in a single-engine airplane, there are a few minimum requirements. You must: • Be 16 years old to solo. • Be 17 years old to receive your pilot certificate. • Read, speak, and understand English. • Hold a medical certificate (for private pilot only). Equipment: Skywalker Aviation offers instruction in the new German sensation, Remos Light Sport Aircraft, the proven Cessna 172, Piper Archer and our latest Tecnam P92. Instruction: Our experienced Certified Flight Instructors tailor each student’s flight instruction to their individual needs. Our Ground School offers the latest training materials, equipment and methods.
